The Polyurea University hosted by VersaFlex Incorporated is proud to announce that Abraham Bosman of BMB Corrosion Services CC in South Africa has successfully completed all seven polyurea training classes and earned the Degree of Master Polyurea Applicator.

Bosman is the first and only individual to have completed all of the requirements and classes in order to earn the Master Polyurea Applicator degree.

Bosman is the most recent recipient of a Master Polyurea Applicator Degree, which is the top degree offered by Polyurea University. The degree certifies that the recipient has completed the requirements of both Qualified Polyurea Professional and Qualified Polyurea Inspector.

“I can’t think of a better candidate to receive a Master Polyurea Applicator” said Dudley J. Primeaux II, PCS, CCI, the school’s Head Instructor. “Abraham has the years of coating and lining experience, is an industry certified coatings inspector and a hard working individual. He will do great things for the industry and is a prime example of the competency and commitment our industry needs to positively grow the work.”

The steps required to earn this prestigious degree include: completion of all seven Polyurea University classes, submission of 3 job log profile forms, and must have earned current Coatings Inspector Certification from SSPC, Nace, or equivalent 3rd Party Industry Inspector Certification programs.

Most recently, Bosman has worked to develop the first South African mining based fully comprehensive polyurea specification for Anglo Kumba Iron Ore Sishen Mine.

“The knowledge that I have gained from Polyurea University courses empowered and enabled me to successfully complete this assignment,” said Bosman.

Bosman has been involved in the design, implementation, application, and quality control of Corrosion Control Systems since 1982.

“I have received a special gift in the understanding, identification, development, and combination of certain unique corrosion control processes,” said Bosman. “It enabled and empowered me to develop my Asset Strategy & Reliability program which I have advocated and propagated since its inception in 1985.”

The program has been fine tuned over the course of the past 31 years and created to encompass the latest in corrosion and coating technologies with emphasis on polyurea technologies.

Mr. Bosman is no stranger to the coatings industry, he is a qualified artisan painter, level 2 paint raw materials and Level 3 paint and application & testing in both lab and field. Bosman is a member of the Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa, forum member of The South African Qualification & Certification Committee for Corrosion and was recently elected as an Affiliate Member / Coating Inspector of the Hot Dip Galvanizers Association of Southern Africa.
